Born into a Catalan family of 5 in a small town near Barcelona (Tarrega,www.tarrega.cat) in Spain, my tertiary education was undertaken first in the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC, www.upc.edu) in both Mathematics and Telecommunication Engineering. My Master's thesis (on stereo-vision hardware) was supervised in the University of Auckland by Dr. Patrice Delmas (Computer Science). Other than science and technology, some of my interests are languages and definitely travelling.

His research interests focus on model-based image analysis, statistical shape analysis of medical shape data, probabilistic methods for computer-aided diagnosis, and geometric morphometric analysis of shape evolution to track disease progression over time.
