Intellectual property (IP) can arise during the course of the project from the CAP investigators, for example pertaining to the software tools or methods developed, or from the CAP Users who perform research based on the data available in CAP. Additionally IP can arise from Contributing Studies who have contributed data to CAP. The document below set out the policies and procedures pertaining to IP derived from these sources. They aim to ensure that existing IP remains the property of the owner, and that IP arising from CAP research is attributed fairly to the inventors.
